Freshman Advisement - Class of 2028
Freshman Advisement is a Cobb County program whose purpose is to help freshmen and their families in developing a plan of study for the remaining three years of high school. Advisement is a 3-step process that includes reviewing a PowerPoint presentation, completing the Individual Graduation Plan (IGP), and completing elective registration for Fall 2025.

Dates
Freshman Advisement will be held on select dates at Walton High School from Monday, March 10 - Thursday, March 20 between 9:00 am - 3:00 pm in the counseling suite.

Registration
Click here to register for a Freshman Advisement appointment. The registration link will be open from Monday, February 3 - Friday, February 28. Students who do not register for a session will be assigned a time to complete Freshmen Advisement by Thursday, March 20.

Please review the PowerPoint presentation before your Freshmen Advisement appointment. Take note of any questions you have and bring them with you to your appointment.

Parking Information
Please park in the bus lanes behind the school if your Freshmen Advisement appointment is before 2:00 pm. Do not park in the numbered spaces in the front and back lots. We will have a volunteer stationed at the back door to direct you where to go for your advisement session.
Please park in the front of the school in any available spot if your Freshmen Advisement appointment is after 2:00 pm. Bus lanes must be empty to allow room for the buses to arrive beginning around 2:00 pm. PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE BACK.
